UMBRELLACHEM BLOCK GEL

Umbrella Chem Block Gel (Block Fortification Chemical) Product Description and Purpose of Use Umbrella Chem Blok Gel is a two-component (Epoxy/Polyester based) high performance reinforcement gel developed in the marble and natural stone sector to increase the strength of blocks that are structurally cracked, brittle or have low mechanical resistance before tar cutting, especially in order to increase the strength of blocks with structural cracks, brittle or low mechanical resistance. High mechanical tension and vibration caused by vertical and horizontal forces during the tar cutting process lead to the explosion of blocks or a serious increase in plate waste. Block Gel is applied to the block's outer surface along with a reinforced marble mesh (glass fiber mesh), forming an almost steel-like armor around the block. In this way, it completely prevents disintegration, cracking and breaking during cutting. Highlighted Technical Features Superior Adhesion Ability: Provides excellent adhesion to different natural stone surfaces such as marble, travertine and granite and reinforcement mesh. Optimum Thixotropic Structure: It does not flow and sag on steep surfaces, spreads easily and completely penetrates the mesh pores, forming a holistic reinforcement layer. High Impact and Tension Resistance: It possesses the balance of flexibility and hardness to absorb the continuous vibration exerted by the saw blades (lambers) on the block during cutting. Fast and Controlled Curing: When applied in the right mixture ratio, it dries in ideal times so as not to disrupt the production line, making the block ready for cutting quickly.

Specifications

Application and Method of Use Surface Preparation: The block surface to be applied to must be completely free of all mud, dust, oil, and moisture and must be dry. Wet surfaces prevent the chemical from adhering. Mixing Ratio: The product is offered as a set consisting of Resin (Component A) and Hardener (Component B). The mixing ratio by weight specified in the technical data sheet (TDS) (for example, 4:1 or 3:1) must be fully observed and mixed with a low-speed mixer until a homogeneous color is obtained. Application: The prepared Block Gel is applied mechanically by spreading it over the reinforcement mesh laid on the block surface using a spatula or trowel. Curing Time: After complete drying is achieved and the gel has completed its chemical curing process, the block can be safely connected to a block saw or band saw machine. Advantages Maximum Efficiency: Since it preserves block integrity, it minimizes plate waste and breakage rates; it ensures maximum square meter plate yield from the block. Occupational Safety: By preventing block explosions that may occur during cutting within the saw blade, it prevents machine damage and workplace accidents. Economic Solution: Allows valuable blocks that are risky to process due to their cracked structure to be brought into the economy. Packaging Information: Component A (Resin): High-volume main body packaging. Component B (Hardener): Catalyst package that activates the resin structure. The system is fabricated and packaged according to set weights, taking into account the optimum chemical reaction balance.
